MY FRIEND GOT FOOD POISON IN HERE. I normally go to this place as it's near my place and the food tastes good. Although one of the nights I was served with what I asked, but the food came in a very dirty metallic bowl, you could feel the dirty in your hands just by touching the metal, looked like they barely clean it. Last night, 28 of December 2013, I went as usual with a friend of mine, we used to be regulars in that restaurant. And this time she ordered a different dish, instead of vindaloo as she always have. And she got food poison, we hate different dishes so I'm feeling good, but she is just passing a very bad time.

I went into the restaurant very hungry in the evening after a long day on a plane and train. While I was looking at what was available another customer came in and brushed right past me, and started to order. This didn't bother me too much as I was still figuring out what I wanted. Then two more men came in after me. Once I was ready I waited for either the man in front of me to finish or for someone else to come to assist customers. Well, someone else came, but instead of approaching me he walked straight past me, without even acknowledging my existence, and asked the two men what they wanted. One of the men asked for a couple of more minutes, not even thinking to suggest that I had been there first. I walked out. My silent protest probably went unnoticed, since I hadn't even been acknowledged in the first place. Rude customers, rude staff. No thanks.

Brilliant food, always a pleasure eating here. Definitely a regular for me.

This is the place where I have eaten out most during my time in London. Chatkhara is somewhere between a roadside kebab shop and a proper restaurant. Most of the food items are already cooked and you can chose what you want to have and they will heat it up and serve it right away. The good part about this place is the food. It is an absolute delight for the taste buds. I end up licking my plate clean whenever I do a takeaway from this place. It is unbelievably delicious. My favourite is the chicken curry with pulao rice (the rice, specially, are out of the world!). The second great thing about this place is the price of the items. A kebab roll, which is a meal in itself, costs 2 pounds! On the flip side, if you are overly conscious about how much oil there is in your food, this place is certainly not for you. Cos like most pakistani food items, the dishes here are quite greasy as well. But once in a while, it is good to indulge, no? ;-)
If you are the owner or manager of Chatkhara Takeaway, or even just a loyal customer, there's a lot you can do to help promote it. The easiest of these is simply providing as much information as you can about the takeaway, but we also have options available to let you verify ownership and promote Chatkhara.
