it wasn't real Indian food : Holy crap. been to this restaurant before.very bad service by andhra guy from guntur and the guy from Pakistan.... and the paneer tikka was not cooked in tandoor. it was just deep fried... and the naan bread was so hard and it wasn't well cooked, and the prawn's were not fresh enough to eat.... we left the curry and the staff didn't care about it and they charged me £7 . they suggested us the buffet? and the food was not so fresh and the rice was dried up.... finally it was very bad experience

I have never been a fan of Indian food, until after my visit to the Chutney Mahal. The service is as friendly as it gets. My partner and I were really made to feel special, as the guys paid us just the right amount of attention, without being 'up in ya face' The food was excellent! in fact, brilliant would be another of the many adjectives i could use to describe the succulent morsels placed in front of us. Everything was right. I remember mentioning to my girlfriend how it felt like we were on holiday. We both agreed, we had lost all sense of where we were... and to think we were still in Huddersfield :-) Pavinder and his team have achieved a perfect blend between great hospitality and great food blended with a dash of escapism. Perfect night out for two, or large groups (as was the case when we were there - a family were celebrating a birthday). Thank Pavider. Really appreciate how you looked after us.

My wife and i have eaten here many times now and both think the food and service we received is absolutely second to none. everything is cooked fresh and you can really taste the charcoal tandori oven. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone !!

I have visited twice in 2 weeks, having eaten ' Indian' for 40 years this has to be some of the best food ive been privileged to ear, lovely environment , attentive but not intrusive staff & a kitchen tour thrown in!! Incidentally they use a charcoal fired tandoor oven which hugely influences the taste. The menu is well written & presented with a large number of dishes which one rarely sees, we had [ on the last visit] a keema bhuna which had a lightness of touch & a depth of flavour rarely found, a mahal special balti with lamb, chicken & king prawns this came with a stunning sauce & also we had the lambs kidney massala -- this dish was a triumph with very fresh perfectly cooked kidney & the sauce allowed the flavour to shine through - other 'bits' included poppadoms/ pickles, paratha & Puri bread - all were very well presented. This is a new venture which needs to grow its business & please give them your custom as they really do deserve it Tony & Diane Hammond
