As a vegan it's great to still be able to have chip shop chips as they cook the chips in a separate bit to the fish. They were honestly the best chips I have ever tasted I couldn't get enough of them! My husband is a meat eater and he says the fish and the battered sausages he has there are also great! Am definately going to visit there now even though I live in Stubbington it is worth the drive!

THE WORST. staff were rude, got orders wrong, and had no sense of customer service. y order was a simple one of sausage and chips. which the did not hesitate to charge me for, but took nearly 15 minutes to prepare and when i got home they had no included my sausage. When i was there another customer came in an was tuned away (in the middle of the day) because the server "did not have time to make more chips". Ridiculous. will not go back.

I am not sure if I am appalled or disgusted by my experience in this shop earlier this evening. When I walked in there was a gentleman just having his order finished up in front of me and one waiting outside the shop. There were 3 staff on duty - 2 young girls and a woman in her 40's - I know their ages because they had a conversation about a song being played on a radio station that was from the 80's and the 2 girls said they weren't thought of then and the other woman said she was born in 1971. For the whole 6 minutes - yes I was stood there (the ONLY person inside the shop) for 6 minutes - and NOT ONCE did any of the 3 acknowledge my presence, look up at me or tell me they were just finishing an order and would be with me soon (I assumed they were getting an order together for the guy waiting outside). I have NEVER in my life come across such ignorance from staff in a shop; needless to say I turned around and walked out and will NEVER be going back. I am still shocked that such ignorant behaviour was displayed and suggest the owner of the business teaches his/her staff that without customers they will not have a job. The BEST form of advertising for any business is word of mouth from satisfied customers; if only I could say I was one of them.

Meh... Batter's always a touch burnt, staff can be a bit short at times and the taste is very average
If you are the owner or manager of Highlands Road Takeaway, or even just a loyal customer, there's a lot you can do to help promote it. The easiest of these is simply providing as much information as you can about the takeaway, but we also have options available to let you verify ownership and promote Highlands Road.
