  Takeout - service was good, arrived swiftly. Quality of food was almost reasonable however served in plastic tupperware so was lukewarm at best. We asked for enough poppadoms for three people and received one. A 2 star review but offered 3 due to speed of delivery

  I have eaten here approximately 10 times over the last year. I have recommended this restaurant to friends in the past, I even brought my partner's parents here on their first trip to England. Tonight, however, I was astounded at the poor quality of service I received. The waiter of around 40 years of age, was not very welcoming, visibly frustrated at our indecisiveness over drinks, despite having been in the restaurant only 1 minute. The crucial disappointment though was over a 10cm hair found in the lime chutney. Upon discovery I handed it to said waiter who grumbled something incoherent as he walked away from the table. At no point did he offer to replace the Lime Chutney, granted we did not ask for it to be replaced, but I do not believe we should have needed to. Upon bill payment, we adjusted the tip given to accommodate for this poor service and explained to him why we were doing so. Most astonishingly he argued that it was a mistake (of course it was), and that he could do nothing about it. I tried to explain that it was not the mistake that bothered us, but more the handling of the mistake. He offered no apology or recompense, and was proudly defiant in his handling of the situation. I don't think I can now return here with the same willingness as before, and with no less than four Indian restaurants in close proximity, I'll probably try my luck elsewhere.

  Not bad. Good value with a Taste card. Probably not worth the money without.
